Daniël Oostenbroek, lawyer at BUREN, has a focus on (international) insolvency law and corporate law. He advises companies, their executives and other stakeholders on (imminent) insolvencies, restructuring, financing, directors' liability issues and liability of financial enterprises. Besides advising Daniël also litigates regularly. In addition, Daniël acts as a court-appointed trustee.
After an exchange at Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto, Canada), Daniël graduated in (private) law (LLM) from the VU University Amsterdam. Daniël obtained his master’s degree after completing a thesis on the civil law consequences of violation of financial regulations (by financial companies). Daniël started working for Buren in 2014. He was author for a Dutch (digital) news portal focused on Insolvency Law (SmartNewz Insolventierecht) for several years and has been an active member (including board member) of the Young Bar Association The Hague. Daniël successfully completed the post-graduate specialization course Insolvency Law (Grotius Academy/Radboud University, Nijmegen) in December 2021 and the post-graduate course 'Contracting (remedies incl.)' (Leiden University) in July 2022.
