Peter Rijken, lawyer at BUREN, specializes in insolvency, restructuring and recovery for more than 10 years. Besides insolvency law Peter focuses on corporate law and dispute resolution. Peter advises companies of all sizes, their executives and other stakeholders. Peter values a close contact with its clients and other professionals. On a regular basis Peter is appointed by Dutch courts as insolvency administrator. Peter has been involved in complex insolvency cases such as V&D, Miss Etam and the Ruwaard van Putten Hospital.
Peter is Dutch as well as Austrian and speaks fluently German and also is well-known with the intercultural differences.
Peter obtained his degree in Dutch law from Leiden University in 2006, with two principal studies (1) Business Law and (2) Company, Law and Management. Peter both successfully completed the post-graduate specialization course Insolvency Law by Insolad / Grotius in 2012 and the post-graduate specialization course Financial Economics for Insolvency lawyers by Insolad / Erasmus University College in 2016.
