Wendy Houben, tax adviser at BUREN, specialises in the tax aspects of M&A, financing transactions, transfer pricing, holding structures, charitable organizations, and the implementation and monitoring of internal control measures. Wendy is part of BUREN's Kazakhstan Practice Group.
Wendy graduated from Maastricht University in 1997 with a degree in tax law, specializing in international tax law. In 2009, she successfully completed the Tax Assurance Programme at Nyenrode Business University. Wendy worked for more than ten years as a lawyer and tax advisor at renowned firms, including NautaDutilh (Rotterdam, NYC) and DLA Piper (Amsterdam). She then gained extensive experience as an in-house tax specialist at one of the largest pension providers, where she worked for more than fourteen years.
Wendy has written several articles on tax treaty law for international tax bulletins.
