BUREN advises majority shareholder on the sale of the Dutch pizza chain New York Pizza
New York Pizza has been acquired by Orkla, a listed Norwegian supplier of consumer goods with over 21,000 employees. With the acquisition of New York Pizza, Orkla aims to expand the pizza chain further internationally.
New York Pizza has a total of 232 outlets run by franchisees. Of these, 229 are located in the Netherlands. At the end of last year, the first branch was opened in Leuven, Belgium. At least five more outlets are to be opened in Belgium this year. New York Pizza also has two outlets in the German city of Cologne.
M&A specialists from various offices were involved in the deal.
