Benthe Ammerlaan, lawyer at BUREN, specialises in intellectual property, IT and privacy law. She advises clients on the protection, exploitation and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights and design rights, as well as on other matters relating to intellectual property law, both in advisory matters and in dispute resolution. In addition, she is involved in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and in advising and representing entrepreneurs in (judicial) proceedings.
Benthe obtained her master’s degree in Internet, Intellectual Property and ICT Law from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2024, where she conducted research on the territoriality of the EU trademark. During her studies, she completed internships at several law firms, with a focus on intellectual property and IT law. Prior to this, she worked as a Trademark Assistant, where she was involved in managing trademark portfolios and assisting with trademark registrations.
Benthe worked at Valegis Advocaten, which joined forces with BUREN in 2026.
