Femke Nuiten

Femke Nuiten, lawyer at BUREN, specialises in commercial contracts and corporate law. She advises national and international clients on the drafting, review and negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts across various sectors, including the media and entertainment industry, franchising and distribution.

Within the media and entertainment sector, she also advises artists, producers and other creative professionals on the protection, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property rights, with a particular focus on copyright and related rights.

Femke advises, mediates and represents artists, producers, creative professionals and entrepreneurs in (judicial) proceedings and in matters relating to unfair commercial practices, advertising law and related commercial areas.

Femke obtained her master’s degree in Private Law and Commercial Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2023. During her studies, she worked at several law firms, focusing on insolvency law, commercial contracts, owners’ association law and family and personal law, thereby building a broad and solid foundation for her current practice.

Femke worked at Valegis Advocaten, which joined forces with BUREN in 2026.
