Bankruptcy Ruwaard van Puttenziekenhuis
Mr. Martijn Vermeeren, lawyer at Buren, was appointed by the court of The Hague as one of the trustees in the pre-packaged insolvency of the foundation Stichting Ruwaard van Puttenziekenhuis. This foundation exploited a hospital in the city of Spijkenisse with an approximate turnover of EUR 68 million per annum and with more than 800 employees. This was the first time in more than twenty years that a hospital went bankrupt. In his capacity as trustee Martijn Vermeeren has sold successfully all the assets of the hospital to Spijkenisse Medisch Centrum.
