Robrecht Timmermans, partner at BUREN has written the summary of the pertinent aspects of company law and corporate governance practices for the Netherlands in the “Getting the Deal Through 2019” (part of Lexology ). His contribution is part of a worldwide survey of company law and corporate governance practices.

Robrecht is praised for his extensive knowledge of Dutch company law and Corporate law and knows how to advise clients in these areas like no other. Due to his in-depth knowledge, he is known as the consultant who translates the theory into practice. Robrecht was a awarded a Ph.D. from Radboud University Nijmegen for his thesis on the protection of Dutch listed companies against shareholders’ activism by way of the issuance of preference shares.
