Merel van Straten, lawyer at BUREN, specialises in employment law.
She completed her master’s degree in Employment Law at the University of Amsterdam in 2025. In addition, she obtained a master’s degree in public administration from Leiden University in 2024. Over the past two years, Merel has gained professional experience in the corporate sector and at several law firms, working as a legal assistant, working student and trainee.
Merel worked at Valegis Advocaten, which joined forces with BUREN in 2026.
Merel is a member of VvA (Dutch Employment Law Association).
