Update: Netherlands Commercial Court: draft legislation to the Dutch Senate

On 8 March 2018 the Dutch parliament approved draft legislation that will allow parties to choose to litigate civil or commercial matters with an international aspect in the English language at the Amsterdam district court (and in appeal: at the Amsterdam court of appeal). This concerns the introduction of the so called Netherlands Commercial Court (“NCC”) and the Netherlands Commercial Court of Appeal (“NCCA”). The Dutch senate is expected to approve the legislation as well.
