Gerry Weber is bankrupt

On Wednesday, 2 April 2025, Gerry Weber Retail B.V. (Gerry Weber) was declared bankrupt by the Amsterdam District Court after a short period of suspension of payments. Mr. M.R. van Zanten and mr. M.N. de Groot of the law firm CMS have been appointed as the trustees. Gerry Weber operates 38 stores in the Netherlands and employs 175 people. In Germany, various insolvency proceedings are ongoing for several group companies, which are now also affecting the Dutch branch. For the time being, the Dutch stores will remain open to maximize the chances of a restart while preserving jobs. However, orders cannot currently be placed via the webshop.
