Deborah van Zanten

Deborah van Zanten, lawyer at BUREN, is a driven litigation lawyer with a broad practice. 

Deborah has extensive experience in the enforcement of security rights and in conducting civil litigation, including neighbour disputes, disputes concerning the performance of sale and purchase agreements, such as issues relating to non-conformity and (latent) defects, as well as construction disputes.

In addition, Deborah advises on real estate-related matters and commercial contracts. Her practice includes, among other things, project development, matters relating to owners’ associations (VvEs), and residential and commercial real estate.

Deborah graduated in 2012 with a Master’s degree in Private Law and Corporate Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam. She completed part of her studies at Santa Clara University in California, United States. Deborah has been admitted to the Dutch Bar since 2013.

Deborah worked at Valegis Advocaten, which joined forces with BUREN in 2026.

Deborah is a member of the Association of Young Real Estate Lawyers (VJOJ).
