Dick van Deventer, lawyer at BUREN, works in a domestic and international advisory and litigation practice. He primarily advises companies in the Netherlands and abroad on all aspects of employment law. In addition, he focuses on employee participation law, social security law, and data protection law. Dick also regularly represents works councils and private individuals.
Dick graduated from Leiden University, where he obtained his Master’s degree in Civil Law. He has been admitted to the Dutch Bar since 2010 and successfully completed the post-academic Grotius Programme in Employment Law in 2016.
Dick is actively involved in PangeaNet, an international network of independent law firms of which BUREN is a member. In this context, he also worked in Madrid for a short period. Furthermore, Dick regularly publishes articles in professional journals and has served as a guest lecturer at the Department of Social Law of the Faculty of Law at Leiden University.
Dick worked at Valegis Advocaten, which joined forces with BUREN in 2026.
