Hans Drijer, partner, lawyer and tax adviser at BUREN, has extensive experience in international tax law, including tax planning, M&A transactions, private equity and venture capital, financing transactions, corporate income tax, Pillar 2, VAT, charities and non-profit organizations, transfer pricing, as well as the restructuring of corporate loans and insolvency. His clients include oil and gas companies, investment funds, and both listed and privately held companies. Hans heads BUREN’s Kazakhstan practice group and is a member of the firm’s China practice group.

Hans obtained two master’s degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1997, speciaising in Dutch tax law and corporate law. Before joining BUREN, he gained professional experience at Loeff Claeys Verbeke (Rotterdam/Jakarta office), Allen & Overy, NautaDutilh, and Keijzer Drijer Priester & Van der Stoel.

From 2000 to 2005, Hans lectured at Nyenrode Business University (MBA in International Tax Law), and in December 2005 at the University of Indonesia (International Tax Law). He is the author of several publications on Dutch corporate income tax and international tax treaty law.

Hans is a member of the Netherlands Bar Association (NOVA) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
