Buren advises Fras-le S.A.

Buren advises (Brazil-based) Fras-le S.A., one of the largest global manufacturers of friction material, on the acquisition of Fremax.

Fras-le has bought all shares of the company Jofund S.A., holder of the FREMAX brand. Following the acquisition procedures and after meeting all preceding conditions, Fras-le will add 2,500 part numbers to its already-diversified portfolio, thus ensuring its leading position in the friction material market in Brazil and strengthening its product portfolio for global supply.

FREMAX, based in Joinville, Santa Catarina State, is a traditional manufacturer of light brake disks and drums for the aftermarket en OEM companies. The company has warehouses in Argentina and Europe, has 580 employees and its revenues in 2017 amounted to R$ 188 million. 

Fras-le S.A. has plants in Brazil, United States, China, Argentina, Uruguay and India, warehouses in Argentina, Germany, United States and Colombia, and commercial operations in Chile, Mexico, United Arab Emirates and South Africa. In addition to Brazil, Fras-le currently sells its products to over 126 countries.
