BUREN advises shipyards Oceanco, Royal van Lent, De Vries and Hakvoort

BUREN, together with PwC, advised  shipyards Alblasserdam Yachtbuilding B.V. (Oceanco), Royal van Lent Shipyard B.V., Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw B.V. and Hakvoort Shipyard B.V. in an uncertain period with regard to the financial position of De Keizer Marine Engineering B.V. The shipyards build luxury yachts , while De Keizer is an important supplier of electrical installations and related products. The shipyards are De Keizer's most important customers.

After De Keizer was granted temporary suspension of payments on October 12, 2020, De Keizer was declared bankrupt on October 15, 2020 with the appointment of Rocco Mulder and Alexander Claus as bankruptcy trustees. BUREN, together with PwC, advised the shipyards before and during the insolvency of De Keizer and guided them towards a good solution for the future. This has contributed to Eekels Technology B.V taking over De Keizer as part of a restart.
