Bankruptcy Twister B.V.

The Hague, 30 June 2023 - The District Court of The Hague declared the bankruptcy of Twister B.V. on Monday 26 June 2023, following the withdrawal of the moratorium with suspension of payment, granted on 15 June 2023. Martijn Vermeeren, lawyer and partner at BUREN, has been appointed as bankruptcy trustee in this bankruptcy.

Twister B.V. (Twister) was founded on 1 May 2001. Twister is located in Rijswijk at Einsteinlaan 20.  

Twister is involved in reliable, cost-effective and robust solutions for the processing and separation of natural gas to the upstream and midstream oil and gas sector worldwide (https://www.twisterbv.com). Twister's unique separation capabilities are designed to increase production, streamline processes and deliver high-efficiency gas processing for increased revenues. Twister is an equipment and consulting services provider. They offer their customers customer-focused value-added gas treatment solutions for the oil and gas industry around the world using supersonic gas treatment technology and utilizing high-quality engineering. Twister has 16 employees.

Continuing, relaunch
The bankruptcy trustee is currently exploring the possibilities for a relaunch of Twister. The bankruptcy trustee is also investigating the possibilities of a sale of parts. Consequences for creditors and suppliers
Creditors of Twister can submit their claim(s) to the bankruptcy trustee. This can be done by going to https://www.burenlegal.com/nl/faillissementen under "Twister B.V." and then under "Submit claim". Furthermore, the positions of possible security creditors, suppliers with a property right claim, and other creditors with possible privileges are being examined. Consequences for employees
In line with normal bankruptcy procedures, the bankruptcy trustee will presumably have to terminate employment contracts with all employees. Employees will be notified accordingly. During the period of notice of up to 6 weeks, the employees will remain employed and are in principle still required to perform work. They will in principle be paid their salary and holiday pay for this remaining period through the UWV wage guarantee scheme. The bankruptcy trustee has already informed UWV. Consequences for buyers
In principle, Twister's bankruptcy does not affect existing ongoing agreements. This means that the bankruptcy in itself does not cause the rights and obligations under these agreements to change.
