Special for embassies - GDPR applicable as of 25 May 2018

Data security is vital in today’s digital world. With the new European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) becoming the minimum standard for data protection, privacy by design has inevitably become a leading principle of data management.

This is not only of importance for commercial companies, but may also be something to consider for embassies and other diplomatic organizations.

On May 25^th 2018 the GDPR will enter into effect and  it will be immediately applicable in EU Member States, including the Netherlands. It will apply automatically and will not require any national implementation by the Member States.
