Gerbrand Schrickx, partner and civil law notary at BUREN, has extensive expertise in commercial real estate who is involved in all facets of notarial and other real estate work. These range from complex deliveries, mortgages, auctions, establishing commercial rights, subdivision of condominium rights and investment transactions through to setting up, advising on and supervising real estate projects and related corporate law. He also leads the Family Law team and is consequently involved in the settlement of estates and other aspects related to family law and inheritance.

Gerbrand graduated from Erasmus University Rotterdam in Dutch Law (in Private Law and Business Law) in 1996 and from Amsterdam University (in notarial law). He also studied in the United Kingdom at the University of Hull and the London School of Economics. In 2002, Gerbrand successfully completed the post-graduate course in Company Law & Corporate Law at the Grotius Academy, as well as their Financing & Collateral course in 2004. After graduating, Gerbrand worked at large multidisciplinary firms in Amsterdam. He joined as a partner in 2013 and Gerbrand was also sworn in as a notary in The Hague by the district court of The Hague in 2016.

Gerbrand Schrickx is a member of the Royal Dutch Association of Civil-Law Notaries (KNB), the Association of Real Estate Lawyers (VVJ), the Association for Construction Law (VBR), the Association of Notarial Specialists for Publicly Registered Property (NRS) and the Haaglanden Real Estate Society and the Nieuwe of Littéraire Sociëteit De Witte.

Gerbrand is involved in various philanthropic institutions and is a member of the disputes committee of the Stichting Keurmerk Huidfonds (a charitable fund for skin conditions and allergies).
